SF 2101: Suspend water quality standards and require legislative review

An amendment to the Environment Omnibus bill would suspend water quality standards for sediment, nutrients, and nitrates, and require additional cost analysis to be submitted to the Legislature. These standards have already undergone extensive peer review, cost analysis and public comment. The standards would be delayed until January 2017 when the additional analysis would be submitted to legislators.

The amendment is adopted and water quality rules are suspended.

Water quality rules remain in effect.
