House passes two capital investment bills

Final bonding bill includes critical funds for parks, trails and water treatment; includes less than needed for habitat and conservation easements.

At 2:41 in the video clip below, Chair Hausman highlights the number of trail projects funded in the bonding but also notes that RIM Reserve easements, which reduce agricultural run-off and protect habitat and water quality, received far less than needed. Regarding RIM easements,  Chair Hausman states, “we always end up with less than we wish, especially because [RIM] leverages federal money and is so desired across the state.”
