On September 21, Governor Dayton responded to a letter from Representative Pat Garofalo about the Clean Power Plan. In the letter he reiterates his administration is “committed to protecting and improving the environment, including taking substantive measures to address climate change.” He says he is “determined that we do so in a cost-effective manner that increases jobs and provides for economic opportunities across Minnesota.”
He also says he looks “forward to our continued work to guarantee Minnesota’s clean energy future” and hopes that Pat Garofalo will join him in “forming a plan that is both innovative and practical, and that reflects our track record of clean energy leadership.”
