TFKA requires manufacturers to report to the MPCA if they use any of nine priority toxic chemicals in their products designed for children under age twelve. The state agencies will use this information to create a consumer-friendly web site where parents can find product-specific information so they can avoid priority chemicals in products they purchase for their children.
Allocates $1.369 for state agency start-up costs for FY 2016-17 to be divided among MPCA, Health and Commerce. Manufacturer fees will fund the project in future years.
